Physical Literacy

Physical literacy is defined as "the ability, confidence, and desire to be physically active for life" (Aspen Institute Project Play). I am committed to studying the landscape of physical literacy and physical education in the US, learning best practices, and collaborating with as many leaders as possible to continue to make change happen. I recently joined a group of "doers" called the Quality Coaching Collective whose mission is to: "Provide one stop, full-service expertise & support to mobilize your activity strategy."

InnerCity Weight Lifting

I have been working with a non-profit in Boston since 2010 called Innercity Weightlifting to help "proven risk" young people rebuild their lives through a career track in personal training. I recognize the importance of collaborating with local champions to help activate strategies which address the needs of that specific community/organization (“train the trainer”).
